Your browsing,
remembered.

Recall quietly remembers the pages you read and turns them into a private, searchable, AI-written memory — stored on your own device. No account. No cloud. Nothing sent to our servers.

How it works

Memory that builds itself

Install once and forget it's there. Recall does the remembering so you can get back to anything you've read.

01

Just browse

Read the web like you always do. Recall works silently in the background — no buttons to press, no notes to take.

02

Recall remembers

Each page is captured as a clean entry with a short AI summary, your highlights, time spent and an automatic category — all on your device.

03

Find it later

Search everything you've read by word, topic or memory of it — and reopen a clean offline copy even with no internet.

Features

Everything you read, at your fingertips

A second brain for your browsing — fast, private and entirely yours.

Automatic capture

Pages are saved as you leave them — title, URL, domain, time spent and the text you highlighted. Nothing to click.

AI summaries Pro

A concise, human-readable summary of every page, written by Claude using your own API key — so the content goes straight to Anthropic, never to us.

Instant search

Search across titles, summaries, highlights and domains. Filter by category and sort by recency, time spent or highlights.

Offline snapshots Pro

Save a full snapshot of any page and reopen a clean, readable copy later — on a plane, a train, or anywhere with no signal.

Encrypted exports Pro

Back up your whole vault to an AES-256 encrypted file, locked with your passphrase. Safe to store anywhere.

Auto-categories Pro

Every page is sorted into research, shopping, reading, news, work, social and more — so your memory organises itself.

Private by design

Your memory never leaves your device.

Recall is built local-first. Your pages, highlights and summaries live in your browser's own storage — there is no Recall server that ever receives your browsing data.

The only time anything leaves your device is when you enable AI summaries: a short excerpt goes directly from your browser to Anthropic's Claude API using your own key. Your licence key is checked with our payment provider — and that's the entire list.

Questions

Good to know

Is my browsing data really private?
Yes. Recall stores everything locally in your browser. We run no servers that receive your history, and we collect no analytics or telemetry. The only outbound calls are the AI summary (sent by your browser straight to Anthropic, using your own key) and a licence check with our payment provider — neither of which includes your browsing data.
Do I need an API key?
Only for AI summaries. Capture, highlights and search work without one. To turn on summaries you add your own Anthropic Claude API key in Settings — the page text goes directly from your browser to Anthropic, and Recall never sees or stores your key.
Does it work offline?
Completely. Your vault and search are local, so they work with no connection. With Pro you can also save full-page snapshots and reopen a clean, readable copy offline. The web app installs to your phone or desktop and runs offline too.
What happens after the 7-day trial?
During the 7-day free trial you can save up to 500 pages with highlight capture, browse them in the offline reader, and export your vault — no account needed. AI summaries, automatic categorisation, offline page snapshots, encrypted exports and the larger 5,000-page vault are Recall Pro features. When the trial ends, Recall stops saving new pages until you subscribe to Pro; everything you already saved stays on your device and remains viewable and exportable.
Which browsers are supported?
The extension runs on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc). On phones, install the Recall web app to your home screen to browse and search your exported vault.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your receipt — no emails, no hoops. When the subscription ends, Pro features switch off but everything you've saved stays on your device.
